Pitch Better Funding Distribution

Pitch Better is transforming the financial landscape for Black entrepreneurs in Canada. By breaking down barriers to capital and fostering inclusive finance networks, we have helped secure over $1.7 million in funding for Black-owned businesses. Through strategic partnerships, data-driven insights, and tailored support, we connect founders with the resources, mentorship, and investment opportunities they need to thrive.

InvestHER (2020)

Pitch Better is committed to closing the funding gap for Black entrepreneurs, and through our partnership with Microsoft Startups, we took a bold step forward. Together, we disbursed $20,000 each to three exceptional founders, empowering them with the financial resources needed to scale their businesses. This initiative not only provided direct funding but also connected these entrepreneurs to vital mentorship, technology support, and networking opportunities within Microsoft’s ecosystem. By fostering these high-impact collaborations, we continue to break down barriers, ensuring that Black-led businesses have the tools, capital, and strategic support to thrive in Canada’s innovation economy.

Facebook Innovation Grant (2021)

In 2021, Pitch Better, in partnership with Facebook, disbursed over $150,000 to 10 Black founders across Canada. This initiative provided critical funding, mentorship, and business development support, helping entrepreneurs scale their operations, invest in growth, and navigate systemic funding barriers. Beyond financial support, recipients gained access to industry connections, educational workshops, and strategic resources, ensuring long-term sustainability.

Holiday Grant Program (2022 & 2023)

Recognizing the unique challenges faced by Black entrepreneurs, Pitch Better launched the Holiday Grant Program in 2022 and 2023 to provide financial relief and encouragement during the holiday season. Through this initiative, we awarded small grants ranging from $500 to $1,500 to entrepreneurs within our community, helping them navigate year-end expenses, invest in their businesses, and sustain operations during a crucial time of the year.

FoundHers Demo Day (2024)

In 2024, Pitch Better took its mission to the global stage, hosting a landmark event in New York City where over $50,000 in prizes was awarded to Black women founders. This initiative was designed to celebrate and support innovative women-led businesses by providing them with the funding, visibility, and resources needed to scale their ventures.

Held in one of the world’s biggest business hubs, the event brought together industry leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs, creating invaluable networking opportunities for the participating founders. The winners received a combination of cash grants, business resources, and strategic mentorship, helping them take their businesses to the next level.

A truly professional theme designed for businesses and business consulting.
